Illusionism still wins by a short head.
Acres of print is given over to increasingly elaborate theories of consciousness such as integrated information theory. Interestingly, researchers recently used AI to examine 412 experiments designed to test four leading theories of consciousness. They concluded that the experiments were largely designed to support the theory that the experiment was meant to be testing. Whoops! The other problem is that none of these theories adequately addresses the hard problem. The reductive theories of consciousness never quite manage to explain away the omnipresent feeling of consciousness or awareness. The non-reductive theories of consciousness essentially rewrite physics. Only illusionism resolves the difficulty. Take a look.
