AI continues to transform medical diagnostics.
This is a useful article updating the reader on the application of AI to the medical world. Whether it is in brain scans, dermatology, oncology, ophthalmology or cardiology, AI is now routinely beating human diagnosticians at spotting disease. It is not hard to see why. Curiously, The Economist concludes that AI will not displace humans in such fields, or at least not for a long time. That seems optimistic. Anyway, maybe displacing humans in this field is a price worth paying given the benefits to humanity at large.
