Yet another datapoint re-writing human history.

Researchers have discovered a single finger bone at a desert site in Saudi Arabia. The bone has been identified both as human and also as being over 85,000 years old. As such, it is the oldest remnant of a human yet discovered outside Africa and the Levant. Early human history continues to surprise.
