Brain research is taking off.
There is now a respectable number of substantial national and international efforts to research the workings of the brain. This is a great step forward. The brain is so complex that the chances of just one initiative cracking the brain’s code are very low. Most importantly, all these research efforts are multi-disciplinary, another crucial ingredient for success. The knock-on effect will come in smarter AI. The 21st century will transform humanity, though how remains to be seen.
